Dedicate some time
Your room will be your accommodation for six or nine months. To plan ahead is the right thing to do.
Right room in the right place
Speaking of Perugia, most international and italian university students decide to go to live in the city center. Most faculties are located in the city center of Perugia (except for Medical School, University of Engineering and few others). The quality of the transport service allows to reach every place in the city during the day.
A million opportunities
internet sites such as immobiliare.it, casaclick.it or idealista.it can be very useful. It is also possible to look at Facebook groups such as "Affitti Studenti Perugia" or similar.
..but watch out for frauds
Never send money before having seen pictures or videos of the house, and without having signed a lease contract with the homeowner. Please note that one has to conclude a lease agreement when choosing for a place to stay.
If, before leaving, you have not found your accommodation, nothing is lost
