What it means to be kind? It's not easy to answer it in an univocal way at a way of being as human as a less common behavior that it should be. Being kind, in my opinion, it's not say words of courtesy and make speeches with good manners, it's a real life style. It's go towards the other and especially being strong. We live in a world where the necessity to prevail over the other is exalted, through a sort of superiority and with the desire to always feel first, to achieve power and success. But arrogance and aggression are just defense mechanisms to deal with the insecurity, the fear and the rejection by the other; the true strenght is in being fragile, human and available. Kindness is the real revolution, it's having such a strong character that it's not necessary treat the others with sufficiency but with tact. Beside, being kind help you put yourself in the other person's shoes, exercising empathy and the ability to understand the other.
Speak with kindness and be generous break down prejudices and make the one who receveis kindness and empathy more relaxed, try to believe! Mark Twain said " Kindness is a universal language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see ", it's a universal language that everyone can understand. But people are born kind or are they become kind? Despite man has social inclination, man is born alone and dies alone, so he thinks about himself and his own gain. Kindness, like calm or positivity, should be trained every time you have the chance. How? Definitely starting from yourself, being kind with yourself produces endorphines, confidence and well - being. And consequently practing empathy with others, those who are different from us. On this World Kindness Day, let's remember to make a thoughtful gesture or say generous words to our friends, family and those around us. Beyond being contagious, it can significantly make someone else's day. My kindness be in your hearts!
