Love Film Festival is born in 2014 in Perugia from the ideas of the cultural association Perugia Love Film, with the intent of describing the love for the arts through cinematographic works.
The event involves directors, actors and cinema lovers, all united for the love for this art.
The idea rises with the purpose of telling love through the lens of the directors in all its expressions, in the setting of the historical center of Perugia. The aim of Love Film Festival is to create a moment of cultural sharing and to bring the cinema back in middle Italy, showing also the beauty of this land.
For six days free entry movie showings, cultural events, films, books and short movies presentations – both italians and internationals – follow each other at the Sala dei Notari in Perugia and at the Casa dell'Energia in Arezzo.
The name Love Film Festival does not refer to sole romantic themed movies, rather to the theme of “love” in all of its many aspects: love for art, music, dance, sport, for a city, love for the neighbor… these are the themes at the heart of the selected movies.
A further task for the Festival is indeed solidarity. For this reason Perugia Love Film supports a charity cause to make sure that the cinema and the arts ennoble themselves and to strengthen the positive message of the event.
This year's will be the fifth edition, from the 2nd to the 5th of May 2019, and great news will be awaited. Consult the program and participate to the initiatives!
